High Intensity Interval Training & Intermittent Fasting

Dr Mercola has just put up a great post on combining high intensity interval training with intermittent fasting. I have always believed in training in a fasted state, so obviously this works perfectly with intermittent fasting.

Here’s a video showing Dr Mercola and Phil Campbell describing HIIT on an elliptical. Phil Campbell has been teaching HIIT, long before it became mainstream. The early 90′s I believe? Great video.

In my opinion the best possible time to do HIIT is right before you end your fast. A lot of people fast until dinner, so the perfect time would be early afternoon, right after work.
